China Horse Fair 2020 goes online

Due to the impact of Covid-19, Chinas longest running professional equine trade event, China Horse Fair, has taken the decision to go online for 2020.

The 14th edition was scheduled to take place 18th - 20th September at the Equuleus International Riding Club in Beijing, but after taking into consideration all the restrictions in place as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Organiser, Tarsus Hope Exhibition Co., Ltd, has decided not to go ahead with the live event this year. Commenting on this difficult decision, Sonia Ou Yang, Marketing Manager for the show said, China Horse Fair has an unrivalled reputation for introducing both global and local suppliers and their products to the Chinese equine market. Despite significant interest from around the world, travel restrictions make it impractical for international suppliers to exhibit at the live show this year and therefore a key ingredient in the shows previous success is missing. Without this strong international flavour, it simply wont be the China Horse Fair our attendees have come to expect and enjoy.

Ou Yang went on to say Our focus now is to deliver an effective sales and marketing platform through China Horse Fair 2020 Online. I am delighted to report that since its launch at the beginning of August it has generated excellent interest from suppliers worldwide and opens up exciting opportunities for more Chinese and international buyers to participate and initiate new business contacts.

China Horse Fair 2020 Online is scheduled to run from August 1st 31st December 2020 but according to the Organiser these dates could be extended until the next live show anticipated to be held in September 2021.

Andrew Furness, International Sales and Marketing Consultant to the China Horse Fair said Our objective was to create an online business platform that was simple and effective in facilitating direct contact between exhibitors (suppliers) and visitors (buyers). This we feel we have done particularly as Online Exhibitors have the flexibility to change the content of their listing so as to reflect the latest product launches or promotions etc., and at no extra cost.

Mr. Furness went on to say, China Horse Fair 2020 Online will be extensively promoted across China very much as the live show would be and therefore represents an excellent opportunity for international suppliers looking to launch or boost their existing sales to Chinas rapidly growing equine market.
