【CHF Shanghai 2025】Interview with Our Professional Visitor Mr. Fu of Dalian Qi Ji Equestrian Club

Mr. Fu Yufei
Operation Director

Q: When did you first open your riding club?

A: Dalian Qi Ji Equestrian Club was established in 2021.

Q: In your opinion, how has the equestrian market in China changed since you first opened and what are your predictions for the future?

A: Since Dalian Qi Ji Equestrian Club first opened, the Chinese equestrian market has placed more emphasis on developing professional standards such as riding, horses, stables, saddles, field facilities and teaching aids that match the equestrian needs of young children. This has led to a more comprehensive understanding of equestrianism among young riders and their parents, including rider level assessments, equestrian competitions, and international equestrian cultural exchanges. The Chinese equestrian market will experience a period of continued growth and improvement in the future and will definitely narrow the gap with the European and American equestrian superpowers.

Q: How do you currently source products for your riding club's future needs?

A: By continuously updating and meeting with equestrian horse industry suppliers through China Horse Fair, establishing long-term cooperative relationships, and purchasing products for the club's future needs through direct offline and online communication and transaction methods.

Q: What products are you and your club members most interested in purchasing over the next 12-18 months?

A: In the next 12-18 months, my club members and I are most interested in purchasing warm blooded horses that are suitable for helping young riders make greater progress.

Q: Are you planning to invest more or less this year compared to last year and what will be your main purchases over the next 18 months?

A: Compared to last year, Dalian Qi Ji Equestrian Club is continuously expanding and upgrading its equestrian facilities and our investment plan for the club will be increased appropriately this year. In the next 18 months my main plan is to purchase warm blooded horses suitable for helping young riders grow, invest in venue facilities as well as supporting international cultural exchange along with training and competition services for riders and horses in Germany and the Netherlands.

Q: How important is it for you and your club members to be able to view and compare both international and local products?

A: For professionals and members of our equestrian club, to view and compare international and local products is very important. For teenage riders with plans to enter competitions, they attach great importance to the quality of international products for horse health and wellbeing. For our newer members of the club, we will also choose products that are suitable for them based on these comparisons.

Q: Do you attend any other trade fairs apart from China Horse Fair?

A: In addition to the CHF, I also visited horse auctions and outdoor sports trade fairs. Thanks to China Horse Fair for providing such an international platform for the development of China's equestrian horse industry.
